This only allows the engine to produce 4.5hp (fast enough for fun, but not likely to scare the wits out of a beginner). It can be easily de-restricted with a big bore exhaust and a 22mm carb at a later date once the rider feels they may need a little more power. This will take the engine to around 7hp and 55mph. So there is plenty of scope for years to come. If you would prefer, you can also choose a 50cc option with 2hp. The semi auto gearbox allows the rider to click through the gears without the use of a manual clutch. For first time riders, you can select 2nd gear by clicking up twice which allows the rider to ride the bike purely as an automatic with a top speed no greater than 20mph. Once the rider is used to changing gear, the bike will be capable of around 40mph (if given enough open space). | ||||||||||||||

The Z140 gives you plenty of feedback & time to react unlike many conventional pit bikes that will spit you off as soon as look at you. The other key thing to note is the riding position, low footpegs (with plenty of ground clearance) a long seat that you sit in the middle of (not on the mudguard) & mid height bars. Designed to allow massive rear suspension travel with a dual rate shock (80mm of axial travel). A light spring is utilised for skipping across uneven surfaces. A heavy spring comes into play when you start hitting jumps. Overall a superior level of control is achieved when compared to traditional single rate shocks. The frame is also 1.8kg lighter than our previous frame and a massive 45% stiffer, which provides improved handling characteristics both on tarmac and on dirt. Brand new 'cut-away' KLX plastics are also introduced on this model to show off the 360mm length shock.
